The water filter in Cuisinart’s coffee maker helps to filter impurities from the water such as chlorine and calcium, as well as bad tastes and odor before using it in coffee grounds.
Some of the customers already have water filtration system for their drinking water and do not need this part of the Cuisinart Coffee Makers. If so, it is fairly simple to bypass the water filtration.
